Glenn Cove Wildlife Education Area

The Glenn Cove Wildlife Education Area welcomes visitors to one of the prettiest spots on the seacoast. Enjoy the picnic pavilion or a stroll to the water as you admire a view that stretches from the Pawtuckaway hills to shores of Great Bay. A variety of habitats including mudflats, saltmarshes, open fields, scrub shrub, and forest edge create wonderful wildlife viewing opportunities. Interpretive panels describe the rich history of the site, which is also described in this blog post. The renovated farmhouse is now home to visiting scientists studying the estuary. The grounds are a demonstration site for invasive species removal and pollinator friendly gardening. 

Glenn Cove is open year round, dawn to dusk and can be used for ice fishing in the winter, shoreline waterfowl hunting in the fall and birdwatching or picnicking in any season. As you explore this multi-use site, remember that it is a pack in-pack out facility and dogs must always be on leash.
