Calling all Great Bay lovers & people people!

Share your passion for Great Bay by becoming a volunteer educator. We’ll provide training, work with your schedule, and promise you—it will be a lot of fun!

  • Covid-19 Update: the exhibit roomhas limited hours and good volunteer coverage right now.  Fall school programs are planned and we are holding training on September 9th…see the flyer here.  There may be last minute changes due to Coivd-19.
  • Volunteer educators work with small groups to share the wonder of the bay and its fascinating history. School programs are weekday mornings, April through June and September through November.
  • Education Intern (there is no 2021 internship available because of Covid) Lead spring and/or fall school programs, 2-3 mornings per week. Help us connect kids to Great Bay and gain valuable teaching experience. Spring programs are mid-April through mid-June and Fall programs are mid-September through mid-November. Interns could work one or both seasons. Please see the Education Internship Job Description for more information.
  • Exhibit room facilitators  work at our Discovery Center, where many people learn what makes the bay so special. You’ll greet visitors, man the exhibit room, help with the discovery tank, and answer questions. Shifts are available Wednesday through Sunday, 10am to 1pm or 1–4pm, May through September.
