About the Map

Created in consultation with land managers across the Seacoast and beyond, the map can help you find new places to access the state’s tidal coastline, including preserves and gardens, boat launches, visitor centers, boat launches, picnic areas, and many other points of interest open to the public along New hampshire’s tidal coastline.

New Hampshire’s eelgrass meadows, golden marshes, tide pools, beaches, and dunes are home to hundreds of unique animals and plants, including more than 60 species that are considered threatened or endangered. The lands and waters that support them have been an important part of our history, economy, and identity for thousands of years. They are part of N’dakinna, the traditional ancestral homeland of the Abenaki, Pennacook, and Wabanaki Peoples past and present.

Published in 2024, this map was produced with support from Great Bay 2030, a partnership formed to protect the shared waterways of Great Bay and beyond. An online version of this map is coming soon, or contact Lynn Vaccaro (Lynn.E.Vaccaro@wildlife.nh.gov) for a print version.
