Sunset over the water at Adams Point

Picnic, hike, and harvest oysters on this historic peninsula extending into the narrows at the juncture of Little and Great bays. Once a working farm, today Adams Point is the site of UNH’s Jackson Estuarine Laboratory and a popular place for outdoor recreation on the coast.

Fields, forests, tidal marshes, and rocky shores provide spectacular views of the estuary. One of the best bird watching locations in Great Bay, Adams Point is ideal for viewing bald eagles. New Hampshire Fish and Game maintains a public parking area and approximately 2.5 miles of walking trails.  Learn more about this property in the Adam’s Point pages of the Passport to Great Bay here.
