The Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve is excited to host our third Great Bay Research Symposium on November 5th, 2025!

This year’s theme is Restoration Science. The agenda includes presentations and interactive activities that will help us think more deeply and collaboratively about what it means to restore ecosystems in a rapidly changing world. A terrific line up of 5 and 10 minute talks will focus on the science and practice restoration in the Great Bay Estuary and the NH coastal watershed, including:

  • Science that informs restoration
  • New techniques or improving traditional techniques
  • Lessons learned, successes and failures
  • Engagement and collaboration

At the Symposium, you’ll see presentations on the latest restoration and research for Great Bay and the NH coastal watershed; meet potential collaborators and generate ideas for research projects that can improve the management of Great Bay and its watershed; learn more about research grants, student fellowships, monitoring data, field work planning, and permitting; and enjoy free lunch, snacks, and door prizes! See: Draft Agenda.

Participants incude researchers working in, or interested in working in, Great Bay or the NH coastal watershed, including students, academics and professional scientists, and organizations that partner with researchers.

Registration is closed, but you can contact Lynn Vaccaro – Lynn.E.Vaccaro@wildlife.nh.gov – if you’d like to be added to the waitlist.
