Research Assistant

Heather supports research and monitoring efforts in Great Bay, throughout NH, and at other NERRs on various projects (e.g., marsh adaptation to sea level rise, living shoreline, environmental DNA). She enjoys swimming, running, biking, fishing, kayaking, and pretty much anything else in the outdoors.

Before coming to the Reserve, she worked in environmental consulting on high profile environmental damage cases around the U.S. and its territories. She earned her Ph.D. in Natural Resources and Earth Systems Science from the University of New Hampshire (UNH), a Master’s of Science in Natural Resources from UNH, a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC), and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from UCSC.
