Sarah Feinman
Staff Naturalist
Sarah is a member of the Great Bay Discovery Center education team focusing primarily on early childhood and family enrichment programs. She heads the Once Upon an Estuary preschool program, the free Story Stroll series, and the guided Baywalks program which is available to the general public. Sarah utilizes the vast resources of the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve to engage visitors and families in fun and educational, nature based programing.
Sarah, a Massachusetts native, moved to New Hampshire after living in Africa for four years. She discovered GBNERR as a welcome outdoor resource for her family to utilize year-round and enjoys encouraging other families to do the same. Sarah was previously engaged in research at the Waquoit Bay NERR and has taught all ages, from preschool to post graduate students, in the US and Liberia! Sarah holds a BA in Environmental Science from Clark University and a PhD in Microbial Ecology from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
